The Washoe County Air Quality Management Division has taken the lead on making sure that wood burning devices in the county meet certain EPA guidelines for air quality.

The Air Quality Management Division (AQMD) implements clean air solutions that protect the quality of life for the citizens of Reno, Sparks, and Washoe County through community partnerships along with programs and services such as public education, air monitoring, planning, and permitting and enforcement.

As part of that implementation, they used wood burning device compliance inspectors like us to make sure that the device meets the EPA guidelines that Washoe County has Adopted. The county has provided a power point presentation to help explain the process which can be found at the link below. If you need a WBD compliance inspection give us a call!
